SOUTH SUDAN VIOLENCE
A recent escalation in violence underlines the fragile situation in the world’s youngest nation, still recovering from almost 50 years of civil war. Almost 5 million people in South Sudan need immediate assistance and 3.7 million are at risk for hunger.

CONFLICT IN YEMEN
Ongoing violence in Yemen has resulted in 80% of the population in need of humanitarian assistance. Over 21 million people struggle to access food, water and medical care.

CARE has operated in the West Bank and Gaza since 1948. Today, we provide access to services such as healthcare, water and sanitation, as well as agriculture and livelihoods programs.
CHAD: REFUGEES ON THE RISE
Hunger and poverty are on the rise as Chad takes on refugees from all over the Sahel region, in particular the Central African Republic, even as the country struggles to solve its own food crisis with limited resources.

MALI: ON THE BRINK
In Mali, where poor recent harvests, lasting impacts of the 2012 Sahel food crisis and conflict have made a severe toll on the population, more than 800,000 people need immediate food assistance and another 3 million people are at risk of not finding enough to eat.
DADAAB REFUGEE CAMPS
We’ve worked in Dadaab, Kenya, since drought drove refugees there in 1991. We’re the primary provider of basic services like food, water and sanitation, as well as education and healthcare, for more than 423,496 people.

DRC: WOMEN AT RISK
Conflict is a part of daily life in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and women are especially at risk. We provide food and water, as well as support for victims of sexual and gender-based violence.

DEADLY EARTHQUAKE STRIKES NEPAL
The worst earthquake to hit Nepal in more than 80 years has killed more than 7,000 people and injured more than 14,000.
